We parked the car in the garage and just walked everywhere. Geert checked in on us by phone after our arrival to ensure all was well, which it was. Thank you for a wonderful visit!!

The neighbors were quiet and friendly, we hardly knew they were there. Fernanda had the place spotless, I would’ve eaten off the floor, and met us upon arrival. Although she thinks her English isn’t great, she was very well informed, easy to understand , and showed us everything we needed. She was the best! Geert called us our 1st morning and gave us a few more recommendations that were excellent! There is no way I would stay anywhere else in Nazare. Everything was perfect.

  Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Geerts Haus. Tolle Lage direkt oberhalb des Praia da norte, von dort fußläufig in den süßen Stadtteil Sitio (6min) oder über die Stufen hinunter... read more nach Nazare (16min) bzw. per Seilbahn direkt in die Stadt. Vom Haus aus hat man eine tolle Aussicht auf das Meer und ein kleines Pinienwäldchen. Noch beim Einschlafen hört man - bei geöffnetem Fenster - die Wellen. Sehr schön. Das Hais selbst ist groß, geräumig, sauber, es ist ruhig und doch nicht allzu weit weg vom Geschehen. Der Pool war ebenfalls herrlich. Die Kommunikation mit Geert super, freundlich, schnell. Wir haben tolle Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht, Obidos, Grotten, Ausflüge aufs Meer, um Delphine zu sehen. Es war schön, wir kommen total gerne wieder!

Solo 2 contras:
1: Fuimos en plena semana santa de 2024 y como el clima cambió tan radical y yo tengo una bb de 2 meses, sentía que la calefacción se quedaba corta ya que es una casa muy grande.

2: Bayetas de cocina en mal estado y toallas olían un poco mal.

De resto recomiendo la casa de Greet con toda seguridad.

We could walk to Praia do Norte, the lighthouse at Sitio and to the beach at Nazare (although Nazare was a longer walk). Thank you, Geert!

  We loved our visit & would definitely stay at Geert’s again! We were 4 women visiting Nazare for 5days in January. Geert was great, allowed early check-in, provided a list... read more of restaurants, had someone meet us at the house & quickly responded to questions before & during our trip. Lots of space with 4 bedrooms (2 face the pine woods and ocean) with firm beds and 3 bathrooms. The common area is comfy & open, the kitchen stocked with plates, cooking utensils, and dishwasher. The clothes washer worked well. If the weather was better we’d have spent time on the roof deck (great ocean view) and used the pool. The home’s location met all our needs, having a mini mart (we bought cooking basics & snacks), restaurants and a couple of bakeries-about 10-15 min walk. The funicular to the beach was under repair, so we drove to town & to Fort of San Miguel for watching amazing surfers on the big waves-both a quick 10min drive & from Geert's to Alcobaca, Obidos, Coimbra & Sintra, about 1h-1.25h drive.
